In this further development project, the focus was on expanding the painterly space and further developing existing works.
Early abstract works were scanned and digitally processed. The resulting forms were milled from a sheet material, sanded, surface-treated and mounted on top of each other.
The result of the project was a field of tension that was generated primarily from two components. Firstly, the abandonment of two-dimensional space in favour of a sculptural appearance. And secondly, the subtraction of the colourfulness of the original.
The finished work, which can be described as a sculptural copy, is thus no longer characterised by the colour delineation of the forms, but by the shadows cast by the monochrome forms of the sculpture.
